Paul Allen from the Bluffton United Methodist Church Mens group (BUMM) presented a check to Jenny Haney, Executive Director of Bluffton Self Help.  This is one of several local charities which the BUMM’s support on a regular basis .  Supporting Bluffton Self Help is a priority because of their mission to help individuals in the greater Bluffton area who are in critical need of short-term, documented financial assistance.  Fundamental needs such as food and clothing are provided while urging them to become more self-reliant.

When you buy a hot dog, a hot chocolate or a soft drink from a BUMM down at the end of Calhoun St. during one of the Bluffton parades or on Bluffton days, you are helping to support your local friends and neighbors who are in desperate need.  Thank you for your support.

This year, Bluffton Self Help and the BUMMs wish to recognize Peter Sickley, a BUMM who was also a volunteer at Bluffton Self Help.  Peter was a cancer patient who recently passed away.  He will be missed by his friends at Bluffton Self Help and at Bluffton United Methodist Church.
